1966-023 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER L~ OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF T~E CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19, AND AS SAME MAP APPLIES TO LOTS 1, 2, 3, AND 4 IN BLOCK ONE OF THE WATTAM ADDITION AS/D LOTS 1, 2, 3 AND 4 OF BLOCK TWO OF THE HILLSIDE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED I~REIN, AND DECLAR- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF T~E CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the Caty of Denton, Texas, 1961, adopted as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13, of the Code of Ordanances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the provisions of Ordinance No 61-19, be, and the same is hereby amended as follows All of the hereinafter described property is hereby re- moved from the "R" - Dwelling District as shown on said map, and all provisions of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, as provided by Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter apply to sa~d property as "A-2" - Dwelling District an the same manner as other property located an the "A-2" Dwelling District All those lots, tracts or parcels of land lyang and beang s~tuated an the C~ty and County of Denton , State of Texas, being known and described as all of LotN No One (1), Two (2), Three (3), and Four (4) in Block One (1) of the Wattam Addlt~on, an Addition to the C~t~ of Denton, Texas, and Lots No One (1), Two (2), Three (3), and Four (4), Block Two (2) of the H~lls~de Addataon, an Addataon to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, as shown on record an the off.ce of the County Clerk of Denton County, Texas ~11 of block 344 bounded by Eagle Drive on the north, Welch Street on the west, Fannln Street on the south, and Beaty Street on the east SECTION II That the Clty Councll of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, hereby fands that sucy change as in accordance wath a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and w~th reasonable consideration, among other thlngs, for the character of the d~strlct and for ~ts peculiar suitability or particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human laves, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton and ~ts c~t~zens SECTION III That th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect am- mediately after ~ts passage and approval, the required public hearings hav~ng heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council of the C~ty of Denton, after g~v~ng due not~ce thereof PASSED AND APPROVED th~s ~ day of July, A D 1966 Warren Wh~tson, Jr , Mayor C~ty of Denton, Texas ATTEST ~oo~s Holt, C~ty Secretary Clty of Denton, Texas APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM
