AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART
OF PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDIN-
ANCE NO. 61-19, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO CERTAIN
PROPERTY LOCATED JUST NORTH OF HIGHWAY 24, EAST OF
THE MINGO - PISHTRAP- ROAD TO THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND
DECLARING AND EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, 1961,
adopted as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the
Code of ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of ordinance No 61-19, be, and the same is hereby
amended as follows
All of the hereinafter descrIbed property is hereby re-
moved from the "R" - Dwelllng D~strzct as shown on sa~d
Map, and all pr~vlslons of Parts II and III of Chapter
13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas,
as provided by Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter apply
to said property as "LI" - Light Industrial D~strlct in
the same manner as other property sztuated ~n the "LI"
Light Industrial Dzstr~ct;
Ail that certain lot or tract of land situated in the
City and County of Denton, Texas, shown as City Lots
1 and 2 of Block 178K as shown ~n the official plat
of said City located in the Tax Assessor-Collector
Off~ce and containing approximately 9 356 acres said
property lying due east of the lntersectzon of Highway
24 and Mlngo - Flshtrap- Road
SECTION II
That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby
finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive
plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the
City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable considerations,
among other things, for the character of the dlstrzct and for
· ts peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with a view
to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human
lives, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for
the~maxlmum benefit to the City of Denton and its citizens

SECTION III.
That th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect
zmmedlately after its passage and approval, the required
publlc hearings having heretofore been held by the Plannzng
and Zoning Commission and the C~ty Counczl of the Czty of
Denton, Texas, after glvlng due notzce thereof
