1966-013 NO. AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ELECTION HELD APRIL 5, 1966, TO ELECT TWO CITY COUNCILMEN. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS 1. That the City Council offzc~ally fznds and deter- m~nes that an election was duly ordered to be held ~n the Czty of Denton on the 5th day of April, 1966, for the purpose of electlng two (2) members to sa~d Council, that proper notice of said election was duly given, that proper electzon offzcers were duly appointed prior to sa~d elect~on, that said electlon was duly held, that due returns of the result of sa~d election have been made and delivered, and that the City Council has duly canvassed said returns, all ~n accordance wzth law 2. That the City Counczl offzczally f~nds and deter- mines, that only resident, quallfzed electors of sa~d Clty were allowed to vote at sa~d election, and the following votes were cast at sazd electzon for each candzdate and write-in, therebe~ng no other person rece~vzng any votes at this electzon L A Nelson 116 Votes Warren Whltson, Jr. 118 Votes Harold Orr 1 Vote J.
