1966-007 AN oRDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND CONSISTING OF 7 75 ACRES OF LAND MORE OR LESS, LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND SITUATED IN THE SAMUEL McCRACKEN SURVEY ABSTRACT NO. 817 BEING ALSO A PORTION OF A SUB-DIVISION KNOWN AS CAMBRIDGE SQUARE WHICH LIES OUTSIDE OF SAID CITY LIMITS, CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS DWELLING DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the ordinance was inltaally antroduoed at a regu- lar meeting of the Caty Counoal of the Caty of Denton, Texas, on December 28, 1965, on the petltaon of Ray G. Massey, and WHEREAS, thas ordinance has been published in full one tame ~n the offac1al newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, at least 30 days prior to the effective date, and WHEREAS~ an opportunzty was afforded, at a public hearlng held for that purpose on f~ ~ , 1966, for all anterested persons to state their vaews and present evidence bearang upon the annexation provaded by thas ordanance, NOW, THEREFORE, the Councal of the Czty of Denton hereby ordains SECTION I. That the hereanafter descrabed tract of land be and the same zs hereby annexed to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and the same Ks made hereby a part of sazd Caty and the land and any present and future ~nhahztants thereof shall be entatled to all the rzghts and pravaleges of other catazens of said Czty and shall be bound by the acts and ordanances of saad City now zn effect or which may hereafter be enacted and the property sat- uated therean shall be subject to and shall hear ats pro-rata part of the taxes levied by the Caty. The tract of land here- byI annexed ~s described as follows, to wat Ail that certain tract or parcel of land situated in the Samuel McCracken Survey, Abstract No 817, Denton County, Texas, this tract lying adjacent to the existing City Limits of the City of Denton, Texas, being that part of a Sub-division known as Cambridge Square which lies out side of said City Limits, and being more part- lcularly described as follows BEGINNING at an existing corner of said City Limits on the West Line of Sherman Drive and East Line of the W. E. Williams tract at a point 260 feet Southwesterly from a corner of ~ald Wllllamstract which is located within the extension of Hercules lane, THENCE North 28° 00' East with the existing City Limits Line along the West Line of Sherman Drive 165 0 feet to a corner in Cooper Creek, THENCE South 57° 44' East through the middle of a culvert on Cooper Creek and continuing a total distance of 171 feet to an angle on the Northeasterly line of Cambridge Square Sub-division, THENCE following the Northeasterly line of said Sub-Divi- sion along the revised channel of Cooper Creek the follow- lng five courses and distances (1) South 35© 30' East 653.17 feet, (2) South 31© 30' East 214.94 feet, (3) South 35° 30' East 738.68 feet, (4) around a 101.91 foot radius curve to the left 93.4 feet, and (5) South 87° 46' East 96.53 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 11, Block E of said sub-division, T~ENCE South 2° 14' West 189 0 feet to a corner on the existing City Limits on the South Line of Kings Row, THENCE West with said City Limits line 290°0 feet to a corner thereof, THENCE North 6© 31' West with said Limits line 351 0 feet to a corner thereof, THENCE North 58° 42' West with said City Limits 292 0 feet to a corner thereof, THENCE North 35© 11' East with said City Limits 1,228.0 feet to the place of beginning, containing in all 7 75 acres of land more or less. SECTION IX.
