AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1993, AND ENDING ON SEPTEM-
BER 30, 1994; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the budget for the City
of Denton, Texas, for the-,fiscal year 1993-94 was heretofore pub-
lished at least fifteen (15) days in advance of said public hear-
ing; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the said budget was duly held on
the 31st day of August, 1993, and all interested persons were given
an opportunity to be heard for or against any item thereof; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the budget for the City of Denton, Texas for
the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1993, and ending on
September 30, 1994 prepared by the City Manager and filed with the
City Secretary, as amended by the City Council, is hereby approved
and adopted, a copy of which budget is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein.
SECTION II. That the City Council hereby appropriates from
available resources to the following funds:

SECTION III. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
transfer the amounts of money for employee benefit and salary
adjustments as contained in the 1993-94 budget to the various
departments.
SECTION IV. That the City Manager shall cause copies of the
budget to be filed.with the City Secretary and County Clerk of
Denton County.
SECTION V. That this ordinance shall become effective immed-
iately upon its passage and approval.
