AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS BY WAY OF AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH HARRIS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF TWO
CHILLER UNITS TO SERVICE CITY OF DENTON FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE
4552-INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF TWO
CHILLERS WITH HARRIS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, CONTRACT
AWARDED TO BRANDT ENGINEERING IN THE AMOUNT OF $440,544).
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee is hereby authorized to purchase two
water cooler chiller units including installation in the amount of $440,544 from Brandt
Engineering under competitive bids received by Harris County Department of Education in
accordance with an Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Program Participation Agreement under
Section 271.102 of the Local Government Code which is on file in the office of the Purchasing
Agent.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his designee is authorized to expend funds pursuant
to the agreement for the purchase of various goods and services.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
