Customer Service CITY City of Denton DENTON Job Description Title: Student Aide (Mayor's Summer Youth Program) — Customer Service Position ID: SA0002 Department/Division: Customer Service Reports to: Customer Service Manager FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt Safety Sensitive: No DOT: No Definition: Responsible for providing support to several areas of Customer Service Essential Functions: • Researches, organizes, and compiles data into reports including: o Daily Productivity report o Agent Login report o Paymentus Payment Portal (ie: Scheduled Payments report) • Processing of documents from various channels • Record management / Laserfiche to include: Record verification, document scanning, etc. • Answering of phones associated with the Operator Queue • Light filing, Operator and Administrative duties • Participation in individual, team and quality meetings • Job shadowing various positions and roles in the department • Regular and punctual attendance • Professional appearance required Additional Duties: • Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency: • Must be enrolled in High School or equivalent or a recent graduate • Must be between the ages of 16 to 21 years of age Core Competencies: • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and customers • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance Job Description Template — Job Code Page 2 of 3 • Ability to interact with customers professionally • Ability to remain productive while performing daily tasks • Organizational and time management skills Conditions of Employment: • Must be a resident of the City of Denton • Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check • Must be able to work Monday through Friday (20-25 hours per week) Preferences: • Knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Physical Requirements: Overall Strength Demands: The bold and italicized word describes the overall strength demand of the functions performed by the incumbent during atypical workday. • Sedentary — lifting no more than 10 pounds • Light — lifting no more than 20 pounds; carry up to 10 pounds • Medium — lifting no more than 50 pounds, carry up to 25 pounds • Heavy — lifting no more than 100 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds • Very Heavy — lifting more than 100 pounds, carry more than 50 pounds Physical Demand Codes.
