Library - Emily Fowler CITY City of Denton DENTON Job Description Title: Student Aide (Mayor's Summer Youth Program) — Library- Emily Fowler Position ID: SA0002 Department/Division: Library Services Reports to: Branch Manager FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt Safety Sensitive: No DOT: No Definition: Responsible for providing support to the Library Director and Library Administration. Essential Functions: • Assist in preparing materials for outreach programming • Assist library staff in DPL2Go outreach programming • Assist in library data analysis projects • Assist in the preparation of library reports and data presentation materials • Assist in preparation of library project/initiative documentation and training materials Additional Duties: • Assist Technical Services Manager with material processing, selection, or organization projects • Assist circulation with shelving and shelf checking materials • Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency: • Must be enrolled in High School or equivalent or a recent graduate • Must be between the ages of 16 to 21 years of age Core Competencies: • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and customers. • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. • Ability to interact with customers professionally.
