Denton Citizen Academy Relaunched as a More Complete City Government Experience
DENTON, TX, July 21, 2021—Denton 360' is a free program filled with interactive sessions to
give Denton residents and business owners a behind-the-scenes look at City of Denton
operations. Registration for Denton 360' is open now until Aug. 20, 2021 at
www.cityofdenton.com/denton360.
Denton 360°, formerly known as the Denton Citizen Academy, will feature eight sessions on
select Thursdays and Saturdays from Sept. 2 through Nov. 6 with a graduation event and City
Council proclamation scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 16. Each session will give participants an in-
depth look at how our city works and they will learn first-hand how decisions are made and
services are delivered every day. Session dates and topics are shown below:
• Leading and Governing—Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Planning for Growth—Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
• The Science Behind the City—Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Getting you from A to B—Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Building Quality of Life—Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Powering Denton— Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Strengthening the Community—Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Responding to the Alarm— Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Graduation—Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Program capacity is limited and participants will be selected based on the order in which
