WHEREAS, the City has salicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for the purchase
of necessary materials, equipment, supplies or services in accordance with the procedures of State
law and City ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager or a designated employee has reviewed and recommended that
the herein described bids are the lowest responsible bids for the materials, equipment, supplies or
services as shawn in the "Bid Proposals" submitted therefor; and
WHEREAS, the City Cauncil has pravided in the City Budget far the appropriation af funds
to be used for the purchase of the materials, equipment, supplies or services approved and accepted
herein; NOW, THEREFORE,

SECTION 1. The numbered items in the following numbered bids for materials, equipment,
supplies, ar services, shawn in the "Bid Propasals" an file in the office of the City Purchasing Agent,
are hereby accepted and appraved as being the lawest responsible bids for such items:

SECTION 2. By the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items af the submitted
bids, the City accepts the affer of the persans submitting the bids far such items and agrees to pur-
chase the materials, equipment, supplies ar services in accardance with the terms, specifications,
standards, quantities and far the specified sums cantained in the Bid Invitations, Bid Proposals, and
related documents.
SECTIpN 3. Should the City and the winning bidder(s) wish to enter into a formal written
agreement as a result of the acceptance, appraval, and awarding of the bids, the City Manager ar his
designated representative is hereby authorized to execute a written contract in accordance with the
terms, conditions, specifications, standards, quantities and specified sums contained in the Bid
Proposal and related dacuments and to extend that contract as determined ta be advantageous to the
City of Denton.
SECTION 4. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted ta be performed by the City of Dentan
under Bid 5557 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, Texas, ar his designee.
SE�TION 5. By the acceptance and approval of the above enumerated bids, the City Council
hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor in the amount and in accordance with the
approved bids.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
