The City Council finds and declares that the Navember 4, 2014 regular municipal election was duly ordered for the purpose of putting the question before the City of Denton voters af determining whether to adopt an ordinance af the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, Amending Chapter 16, "Licenses, Permits, and Business RNgU�eALIOddy99 af the Code of Ordinances of the City af Dentan, Texas, by adding a new Article VIIy 66Prahibition of Hydraulic Fracturing," generally providing that hydraulic fracturing operations are prohibited in the City of Denton; that proper notice of said election was duly given and election afficials appointed; that the election was duly held and the returns of the election officials have been delivered to the Cauncil, all in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and ordinances of the City of Dentan. SECTION 2.
