AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CITY SPONSORSHIP IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $15,500 OF IN-KIND SERVICES AND RESOURCES FOR THE 2016 DENTON
AIR SHOW TO BE HELD AT THE DENTON ENTERPRISE AIRPORT ON JUNE 18, 2016;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Denton Air Show �ommittee is requesting the City of Denton to
participate as a sponsor, at the same level as in previous years, for the event to be held at Denton
Enterprise Airport on June 18; 2016 and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton has sponsored up to $15,500 of in-kind services and
supplies for the 2015 event which included police, staff, equipment, supplies, and facilities; and
WHEREAS, in exchange for the said support the City of Denton was considered to be an
event sponsor of the said event at a sponsorship level equal to the value of the in-kind service
tendered; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exceed $15,500 of in-
kind services for the event to be held at Denton Enterprise Airport on June 18, 2016; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION l. The City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exceed $15,500 of in-
kind services and supplies, including but not limited to police, staff, equipment, supplies and
facilities, and the said participation is hereby approved. .
ON 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
