AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR PAYMENT BY THE
CITY TO TEXAS COMMISSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY FOR WASTE DISPOSAL
FEES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE 6737-WASTE DISPOSAL FEE 1N AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF $280,000), PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, to comply with the landfill permit requirements, the City of Denton is required
to pay such fees imposed by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality ("TCEQ"); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed and recommended that the City Council approve
and authorize the payment of such; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are true and correct
and are incorporateci herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The expenditure of funds in an amount not to exceed the amount of $280,000 to
be paid to TCEQ in accordance with Subchapter P(Fees and Reporting), Chapter 330 (Municipal
Solid Waste), Part 1(Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), Title 30 (Environmental
Quality) of the Texas Administrative Code.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
