CONSIDER ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
APPROVING A CITY SPONSORSHIP IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $355 OF IN-
KIND SERVICES AND RESOURCES FOR THE FREEDOM TOWN 2.0 RELOADED: MOVIE
IN FRED MOORE PARK, ON FRIDAY, MAY 4, 2018, AT FRED MOORE PARK; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the UNT Department of Media Arts is requesting the City of Denton to
participate as a sponsor for in-kind services and resources for the Freedom Town 2.0 Reloaded:
Movie in Fred Moore Park, held in Fred Moore Park on May 4, 2018; and
WHEREAS, in exchange for the said support the City of Denton was considered to
be an event sponsor of the said event at a sponsorship level equal to the value of the in-kind
service tendered; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exceed $355 of in-
kind services and resources for the event to be held in Fred Moore Park May 4, 2018; NOW,
THEREF ORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exceed $355 of in-kind
services and resources for waiving park rental fees for the event, and the said participation is
hereby approved.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
