WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for the
physical natural gas supply ta pravide fuel for the Denton Energy Center (IFB 6755) in
accordance with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City Cotulcil has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that
the herein described bids should be rejected; NOW THEREFORE,

Proposals" ar plans and specificatians an file in the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed
according ta the bid number assigned herein (for the physical natural gas supply fuel for the
Denton Energy Center - Bid Number 6755} are hereby rejected:

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents
for the rejection af said bids.
SECTION 3. The City Cauncil of the City of Denton, Texas hereby expressly delegates
the authority to take any actions that may be required ar permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton, Texas under the Agreement to the City Manager, or his designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval.
