AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPROVING A CITY SPONSORSHIP 1N AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,000 OF IN-KIND SERVICES AND RESOURCES FOR THE
ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY,
JUNE 16, 2018; AND PROVIDINC7 AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Denton Rotary Club is requesting the City of Denton to participate as a
sponsor for up to $1,000 af in-kind services and resources far the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
("RYLA99) program and volunteer service praject held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, by providing
transportation for students to Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center; and
WHEREAS, in exchange far the said support the City of Denton will be considered to be
an event sponsor at a sponsorship level equal to the value of the in-kind services tendered and
would receive valunteers to perform work at the City's Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level nat to exceed $1,000 of in-
kind services and resources for the event to be held on June 16, 2018; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The findings set forth in the preamble of this ordinance are incarporated by
reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. The City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor of the RYLA pragram and volunteer
service project at a level not ta exceed $1,000 of in-kind services and resources by praviding
transportatian for the event, and the said participation is hereby approved.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upan its passage and
appraval.
