AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A SALARY 1NCREASE FOR CITY MANAGER TODD
HILEMAN UNDER THE PERFORMANCE REVIEW PROVISION OF HIS EMPLOYMENT
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITUIZE OF FUNDS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 21, 2016, the City Council approved an Employment
Agreement with Todd Hileman as the City Manager of the City of Denton by Ordinance No.
2016-365, commencing January 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has completed the City Manager's semi-annual review, and
the Council desires to approve an increase in the City Manager's annual Base Salary; NOW,
THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble of this Ordinance are
incorporated into the body of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves a four percent (4%) increase in the
annual Base Salary of City Manager Todd Hileman, pursuant to Section 6.A. of the Employment
Agreement.
SECTION 3. Said salary increase shall be effective as of October 6, 2018.
SECTION 4. City expenditures provided for in the Employment Agreement, including
the salary increase approved herein, are hereby authorized.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
