WHEREAS, the Denton Animal Support Foundation is requesting the City Council of the
City of Denton to participate as a sponsor for in -kind services for the Tails and Trails 5k and 1 Mile
Fun Run ("the Event"), which will be held at North Lakes Park on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from
930 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Tails and Trails 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run is to provide funding
and aid to the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center and benefit homeless, injured, and
neglected pets in the Denton area; and

WHEREAS, in exchange for additional support, the City of Denton will be considered an
event sponsor of the Tails and Trails 5k and I Mile Fun Run at a sponsorship level equal to the total
value of the sponsorship provided herein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton finds that it is in the public's intere"
and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exce
$330 of in -kind services for the event to be held at North Lakes Park on Saturday, March 30, 201

SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton finds that it is in the public's interest
and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exceed

and that said participation as a sponsor is hereby approved.
