ORDINANCE NO, 19-393
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME -RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, RATIFYING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019 STRATEGIC PLAN OF THE
CITY OF DENTON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 2018, AND
ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2019; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton adopts a Strategic Plan annually to
guide the organization toward achieving its mission and vision; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton's Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Strategic Plan emphasizes an
increasingly data -driven management approach, which helps ensure the City is tracking and
continuously improving the initiatives that matter most to Denton residents and the community;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton has already been implementing portions of the 2018-2019
Strategic Plan since October 1, 2018, and now wishes to formally ratify the Strategic Plan; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The findings set forth in the preamble of this Ordinance are incorporated into
the body of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION2. The City Council hereby ratifies the City of Denton Fiscal Year 2018-2019
Strategic Plan.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
