WHEREAS, the Denton Assistance Center, Inc., doing business as "Serve Denton," is
requesting the City Council of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor for in -kind services
for the Celebration Fundraiser Event _. which will be held at the EmbassA Suites bpi Hilton Denton
Convention Center on Saturday, March 30, 20109, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Celebration Fundraiser is to provide funding to ServA
Denton, which supports non -profits that assist individuals in becoming self-sufficient; and
WHEREAS, of Denton f' # • to $250 of #'. servicesfor
fundraiser, which will include a birthday party certificate for room use at the Central Fire Station
for two hours, a tour of the station, and 12 goody bags; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton finds that it in the public's interest for
the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not to exceed $250 of # services for
the event to be held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center on Saturday, March
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton finds that it is in the public's
interest and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a sponsor at a level not
to exceed $250 of # services by + the rental feesfor of _ Central Fire
Station for two hours, the cost associated with providing a tour of the station, and twelve (12)
goody bags for the Celebration Fundraiser Event, which will be hosted by the Denton
Assistance Center, Inc., doing business as "Serve Denton" and held at the Embassy
Suites bTa HiltonDenton # #n Center on # 1 2019 from 5:30 • to 8:30
p.m., and that said participation as a sponsor is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
