MOORE PARK; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Movie in the Park is to host a free community event in the
park that showcases an outdoor screening of the film, The Last Dragon; and
WHEREAS, the event will provide an opportunity for people in the community to meet
and connect with one another and build community partnerships; and

WHEREAS, in exchange for support, the City of Denton will be considered an event co-
sponsor of the Movie in the Park on all digital materials used to publicize the event.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton finds that it is in the public's interest
and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a co-sponsor at a level not to
exceed $355 of in -kind services for the event to be held at Fred Moore Park on Friday May 24,
2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; NOW, THEREFORE,
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton finds that it is in the public's intere
and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a co-sponsor at a level not 1j$
exceed $355 for in -kind services bpA waiving the srswcial event aMlication
the event, for the event to be held at Fred Moore Park on Friday May 24, 2019, from 5:00 p.m.
10:00 p.m., and that said participation as a co-sponsor is hereby approved. i
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
