WHEREAS, City Manager Todd Hileman commenced his employment with the City of
Denton on January 23, 2017; and
WHEREAS, since that date, the City Manager has focused on process improverne
customer service enhancement, and identifying organizational efficiencies. I
WHEREAS, the City Council has found and determined that the Ordinance is in the
public interest; NOW, THEREFORE:
.SE.C..TION 11. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby concurs with the City Manager's reorganization
the City's administrative departments and divisions depicted in the chart attached hereto as Exhib
"A" and authorizes any necessary expenditures from previously budgeted funds to support t
reorganization. I
SECTION 3. The City Council acknowledges that the City Manager may make minAl
modifications to the organizational structure and expenditures necessary to support t
reorganization of the City's administrative departments and divisions after this Ordinance
adopted. Any major modifications shall be presented to the City Council via ordinance.
SECTION 4. The ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval,
