ORDINANCE NO. 19-1$93
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF AN ADDITIONAL $100,000 IN
PREVIOUSLY BUDGETED FUNDS FOR OUTSIDE COUNSEL 1N THE LITIGATION
STYLED "MICHAEL GRIM AND JIM MAYNARD V, CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS," PENDING
IN THE 68TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT, DALLAS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND DECLAR-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously budgeted a risk retention fund, providing
for the City's defense in litigation; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAiNS;
SECTION l. The City Council hereby approves the expenditure of an additional
$100,000 in previously budgeted funds for outside counsel in litigation styled "Michael Grim
and Jim Maynard v. City Of Denton, Texas," pending in the 68�h Judicial District Court, Dallas
County, Texas.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval,
