ORDINANCE NO. 19-2051
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, APPROVING A CITY SPONSORSHIP IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $300 OF IN-KIND SERVICES, AND RESOURCES FOR THE KEEP DENTON
BEAUTIFUL 21ST ANNUAL COMMUNITY TREE GIVEAWAY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2019;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Keep Denton Beautiful, Inc. is requesting the City of Denton to participate as
a sponsor for in-kind services, and resources for the 215t Annual Community Tree Giveaway held
on October 19, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton has previously sponsored up in-kind services and
resources for the event which included personnel time, use of equipment, classroom, and
containers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to provide a sponsorship in an amount not to exceed $300 of in-
kind services and resources for the 215t Annual Community Tree Giveaway event to be held on
October 19, 2019; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that it is in the public interest and benefit to the
citizens of the City of Denton to provide a sponsorship in an amount not to exceed $300 of in-
kind services and resources for equipment, personnel time classroom, and containers for the
215t Annual Community Tree Giveaway and is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
