19-2578ORDINANCE NO. 19-2578 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE BIDS UNDER IFB 7128 FOR THE SUPPLY OF ELECTRIC SERVICES FOR VARIOUS CITY BUILDINGS AND ANY OTHER AREAS MAINTAINED BY THE CITY OF DENTON FACILITIES DEPARTMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (IFB 7128). WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive bids for the supply of electric services for various city buildings and any other areas maintained by the city of Denton Facilities Department (IFB 7128) in accordance with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that the herein described bids should be rejected; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The following competitive bids, as described in the "Bid Invitations", "Bid Proposals" or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (supply of electric services for various city buildings and any other areas maintained by the city of Denton Facilities Department Bid Number 7128) are hereby rejected: BID NUMBER 7128 7128 7128 7128 CONTRACTOR Concord Commercial Services Inc. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents for the rejection of said bids. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, hereby expressly delegates the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of Denton under the IFB 7128 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or his designee.
