20-1164ORDINANCE NO. 20-1164 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME -RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS UNDER IFB 7355 FOR THE SUPPLY OF ATHLETIC SHIRTS & JERSEYS FOR THE CITY OF DENTON PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT (PARD); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (IFB 7355). WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive bids for the supply of Athletic Shirts & Jerseys for the City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) (IFB 7355) in accordance with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and WHEREAS, the City staff recommends, and the City Council has determined, that it is in the best interest of the City that the herein described bids should be rejected; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The following competitive bids, as described in the "Bid Invitations", "Bid Proposals" or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (supply of Athletic Shirts & Jerseys for the City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department Bid Number 7355) are hereby rejected: ty NUMBER CONTRACTOR AMOUNT 7355 Ad -Wear & Specialty of Texas $152.61 7355 Mustang Apparel dba Incentive Brands $180.53 7355 TK Printshop $234.25 7355 Visual Impact Specialties (AGGTOWN GRAPHICS, LLC) $267.00 7355 Groggy Dog Sportswear $301.15 SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents for the rejection of said bids. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized, in his discretion, to readvertise to receive competitive bids, or proceed otherwise, to procure goods and services described in IFB 7355. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton hereby expressly delegates the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of Denton under the IFB 7355 to reject said bids to the City Manager, or his designee. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
