AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, MWC PRO TUNC. CORRECTING
AN INADVERTANT MISTAKE IN ORDINANCE NO. S17-OO08D, RELATING TO THE
APPROVAL DATE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND AN EFFECTIVE
DATE. (S17-0008e)
WHEREAS, on January 8, 2019, the City Council approved Ordinance No. S17-0008d,
approving a Specific Use Permit for a manufactured housing park on approximately 126.148
acres of land generally located north of East McKinney Street and west of South Trinity Road;
and
WHEREAS, City Staff discovered an inadvertent mistake in the approval year on the
signed copy of Ordinance No. S17-0008d; and
WHEREAS, City Staff requests that the inadvertent mistake be revised to correctly reflect
that the City Council approved Ordinance No. S17-0008d on January 8, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the inherent power to retroactively correct such
mistakes to accurately reflect is official actions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said corrections are in the best interest of
the citizens of the City of Denton and should be adopted as stated herein; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance
are incorporated herein by reference and found to be true.
SECTION 2. The approval date of Ordinance No. S17-00008d is hereby amended to
reflect the correct date of City Council approval at the January 8, 2019 meeting rather than
January 8, 2018.
SECTION 3. All other provisions of Ordinance No . S17-0008d not specifically amended
or deleted herein shall continue in full force and effect £om the date of original passage on
January 8, 2019.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
