20-2437ORDINANCE NO.20-2437 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS UNDER RFP 7297 FOR ENERGY NEWS, CREDIT ANALYTICS, AND MARKET PRICE DATA SERVICES FOR DENTON MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFP 7297). WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive proposals for the Energy News, Credit Analytics, and Market Price Data Services for Denton Municipal Electric in the City of Denton (RFP 7297) in accordance with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and WHEREAS, the City staff recommends, and the City Council has determined, that it is in the best interest of the City that the herein described proposals should be rejected; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The following competitive proposals, as described in the “Request for Proposal”, “Bid Proposals” or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (for the Energy News, (_'redit Analytics, and Market Price Data Services for Denton Municipal Electric) are hereby reiected RFP NUMBER CONTRACTOR AMOUNT 7297 7297 7297 7297 7297 ZE Power Group S&P Global Market Intelligence Natural Gas Intelligence FIS Energy Systems Morningstar Commodity Data $86,000 $126,215 $291 ,650 $390,250 $458,750 SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents for the rejection of said proposals. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized, in his discretion, to readvertise to receive competitive bids, or proceed otherwise, to procure goods and services described in RFP 7297. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, hereby expressly delegates the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of Denton under the RFP 7297 to reject said proposals to the City Manager, or his designee. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
