ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS FOR PAYMENT BY THE CITY TO THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY FOR WASTE DISPOSAL FEES; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE (IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500,000).
WHEREAS, to comply with the landfill permit requirements, the City of Denton is
required to pay such fees imposed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
("TCEQ"); and
WHEREAS, the Interim City Manager has reviewed and recommended that the City
Council approve and authorize the payment of such; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are true and correct
and are incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The expenditure of funds in an amount notto exceed the amount of $500,000.00
to be paid to TCEQ in accordance with, Subchapter P (Fees and Reporting), Chapter 330
(Municipal Solid Waste), Part 1 (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), Title 30
(Environmental Quality) of the Texas Administrative Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
