OF THE CITY OF DENTON FOR GENERAL GOVERNMENT AND SOLID WASTE PROJECTS;AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable that the Notice of Intention to Issue Certificatesof Obligation be given as hereinafter provided; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That attached hereto is a form of "NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUECERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION OF THE CITY OF DENTON", the form and substance of which are
hereby adopted and approved, and made a part of this Ordinance for all purposes.
SECTION 2. That the City Secretary shall cause said NOTICE, in substantially the form attached
hereto, to be published once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the
City, with the date of the first publication to be at least forty-six (46) days before the date tentatively set forthe passage of the Ordinance authorizing the issuance of such Certificates of Obligation. And further that
the City Secretary shall cause said NOTICE, in substantially the form attached hereto, to be posted
continuously on the City’s Internet website for at least 45 days before the date tentatively set for the passage
of the Ordinance authorizing the issuance of the Certificates of Obligation.
SECTION 3. That for purposes of Texas Local Government Code, Subchapter C of Chapter 271,
as amended, the City has currently designated $508,289,024 in principal amount of the following
$794,510,000 of outstanding debt obligations as self-supporting debt, provided that such designated amount
may be changed from time to time:

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is intended to satisfy the official intent requirements set forth in
section 1.150-2 of the rules and regulations of the United States Department of the Treasury.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
The motion to approve this ordinance was made by Brian Beck and seconded by Alison Maguire.

seconded that said Ordinance be passed; and, after due discussion, said motion, carrying with it the passage of
said Ordinance, prevailed and carried by the following vote:

2. That a true, full, and correct copy of the aforesaid Ordinance passed at the Meeting described in
the above and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate; that said Ordinance has been
duly recorded in said City Council's minutes of said Meeting; that the above and foregoing paragraph is a true,
full, and correct excerpt from said City Council's minutes of said Meeting pertaining to the passage of said
Ordinance; that the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph are the duly chosen, qualified, and
acting officers and members of said City Council as indicated therein; and that each of the officers and
members of said City Council was duly and sufficiently notified officially and personally, in advance, of the
time, place, and purpose of the aforesaid Meeting, and that said Ordinance would be introduced and
considered for passage at said Meeting; and that said Meeting was open to the public, and public notice ofthe
time, place, and purpose of said meeting was given, all as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code.
3. That the Mayor of said City has approved, and hereby approves, the aforesaid Ordinance; that the
Mayor and the City Secretary of said City have duly signed said Ordinance; and that the Mayor and the City
Secretary of said City hereby declare that their signing of this Certificate shall constitute the signing of the
attached and following copy of said Ordinance for all purposes.
