AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPROVING A CITY CO-SPONSORSHIP IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $738.00 OF IN-KIND SERVICES AND RESOURCES FOR
THE PARTY WITH FRIENDS EVENT HOSTED BY THE DENTON PARKS FOUNDATION,
WHICH WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 2022, FROM 6:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M.,
AT THE NORTH LAKES DRIVING RANGE, 2009 W. WINDSOR DRIVE; AND PROVEDINGAN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Denton Parks Foundation requested the City Council of the City of Denton
to participate as a co-sponsor for in-kind services and resources for the Party with Friends (“the
Event”), which will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the North Lakes Driving Range from
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Party with Friends event is to engage and recruit Friends
of the Parks to fundraise and help further the mission of the Denton Parks Foundation to engage
the community to enhance the mission of the Denton Parks and Recreation Department to UNITE,GROW, and PLAY; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton will co-sponsor up to $738.00 of in-kind services and
resources for the Event, which included staff and equipment; and
WHEREAS, in exchange for support, the City of Denton is considered an event co-
sponsor of the Party with Friends event at a co-sponsorship level equal to the total value of the
co-sponsorship provided herein; NOW THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton finds it was in the public’s interest
and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a co-sponsor at a level not to
exceed $738.00 for in-kind services and resources which included staff and equipment, which
will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the North Lakes Driving Range from 6:00 p.m. to
9:00 p.m. and that said participation as a co-sponsor is hereby ratified and approved.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
