22-1163ORDINANCE NO. 22-1163 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPROVING A CITY CO-SPONSORSHP IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,545.70 OF IN-KIND SERVICES AND RESOURCES FOR THE GLOW IN THE PARK EVENT HOSTED BY THE DENTON PARKS FOUNDATION, WHICH WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, JUNE 18, 2022, FROM 6:00 P.MTO 10:30 P.M., AT THE NORTH LAKES DISC GOLF COURSE, 2201 N BONNIE BRAE ST:AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Denton Parks Foundation requested the City Council of the City of Denton to participate as a co-sponsor for in-kind services and resources for the Glow in the Park (“theEvent”), which will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the North Lakes Disc Golf Course from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Glow in the Park event is to build the Denton Parks Foundation donor pool and fuel more parks support but it’s also an opportunity to share with guests 21+ the Denton County Brewing Company Brews for Better Parks beers. It also creates more of a following and ideally impacts the popularity, awareness, and income generated from Triple Play sales and associated one-off beers; and WHEREAS, the City of Denton will co-sponsor up to $2,545.70 of in-kind services and resources for the Event, which included staff and the facility rental; and WHEREAS, in exchange for support, the City of Denton is considered an event co- sponsor of the Glow in the Park event at a co-sponsorship level equal to the total value of the co-sponsorship provided herein; NOW THEREFORE; THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton finds it was in the public’s interest and benefit to the citizens of the City of Denton to participate as a co-sponsor at a level not to exceed $2,545.70 for in-kind services and resources which included staff and equipment, which will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the North Lakes Disc Golf Course from 6:00 p.m. to10:30 p.m. and that said participation as a co-sponsor is hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and approval. The motion to approve this Ordinance was made by Bic\n B.,,, K and secondedby Irand6 aaSe McGee .
