AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPROVING THE PECAN CREEK REGIONAL
TRAIL MASTER PLAN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Pecan Creek Regional Trail Master Plan (PCRTNIP) serves as a guide for
the development of a City of Denton Park.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton desires to adopt the Pecan Creek Regional Trail Master Plan
for the City; and
WHEREAS, the Pecan Creek Regional Trail Master Plan consists of public and private
properties along and adjacent to Pecan Creek; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the public’s best interest to adopt the PCRTMP; NOWTHEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDArNS:
SECTION 1. The City of Denton Pecan Creek Regional Trail Master Plan, which is
attached hereto as Exhibit 3, and made a part hereof, is hereby adopted as an official park
master plan of the City of Denton.
SECTION 2. The attached plan shall be filed with the City Secretary.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
