AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE STATEMENTS OF
QUALIFICATIONS UNDER RFQ 8061 FOR THE ASSET MANAGEMENT VISION FORTHE WATER UTILITIES DEPARTMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFQ
8061)
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive proposals for
professional services for the Asset Management Vision for the Water Utilities Department (RFQ
8061) in accordance with the procedures of state laws and city ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City thatthe herein described proposals should be rejected; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The following competitive proposals, as described in the “Request forProposal”, “Bid Proposals” or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s
Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (for the Asset Management
Vision for the Water Utilities Department) are hereby rejected:

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents
for the rejection of said proposals.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under the RFQ 8061 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or their designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
