AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPALCORPORATION, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACTEXTENSION BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND JOHN HOGGARD DBA UTILITY
PLANNING NETWORK (UPN) THROUGH JUNE 10, 2024, TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE311/CRM CONSULTING SERVICES FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS;AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFQ 7485 – EXTENDING A CONTRACT WITHJOHN HOGGARD DBA UTILITY PLANNING NETWORK (UPN), TO JUNE 10, 2024).
WHEREAS, Ordinance 20-2579 authorized a contract to John Hoggard dba Utility
Planning Network (UPN) for 311/CRM Consulting Services for Customer Service and Public
Affairs, which is on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the staff having recommended, and the City Manager having recommended
to the City Council that an extension to the existing purchasing authority approved by Ordinance
20-2579 be authorized between the City and John Hoggard dba Utility Planning Network (UPN),
to expire on June 10, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the action taken herein is in the public interest;NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDA INS:
SECTION 1. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance areincorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The authority to receive services from John Hoggard dba Utility Planning
Network (UPN), authorized by Ordinance 20-2579, is hereby extended under File 7485 until June10, 2024
SECTION 3. The City Council delegates the authority to the City Manager to take any
actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of Denton under File 7485
to the City Manager or their designee.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
