23-1149ORDINANCENO. 23-1149 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE BIDS UNDER IFB 8200FOR AUMA ACTUATORS SERVICE AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE WATERPRODUCTION DEPARTMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (IFB 8200). WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for AUMA Actuators Service and Equipment (IFB 8200) in accordance with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and WHEREAS, the City staff recommends, and the City Council has determined, that it is inthe best interest of the City that the herein described bids should be rejected; NOWTHEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The following competitive bids, as described in the “Bid Invitations”, “Bid Proposals” or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (AUMA Actuators Service and Equipment Bid Number 8200) are hereby rejected: BIDNUMBER CONTRACTOR AMOUNT 8200 8200 Municipal Valve & EquipmentElectric Actuator Service of Texas $262,3 12.03 $ 1 ,077, 19 1 .00 SECTION 2. The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents for the rejection of said bids. The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized, in their discretion, to readvertise to receive competitive bids, or proceed otherwise, to procure goods and services described in IFB 8200. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton hereby expressly delegates the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of Denton under the IFB 8200 to reject said bids to the City Manager, or their designee.
