AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPALCORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS UNDER CSP8264 FOR THE PECAN CREEK WATER RECLAMATION PLANT VALVE AND PIPINGIMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR THE WATER UTEITIES DEPARTMENT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (CSP 8264).
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive proposals to
evaluate the Pecan Creek Water Reclamation Plant Valve and Piping Improvement project (CSP
8264) in accordance with the procedures of state laws and the City’s ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends, and the City Council has determined, that it is inthe best interest of the City that the herein described proposals should be rejected; NOW,THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. All competitive proposals as described in the “Request for Proposal”, “Bid
Proposals”, or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s Purchasing Agent filed
according to the bid number assigned herein (CSP 8264 – Pecan Creek Water Reclamation Plant
Valve and Piping Improvement project) are hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized to execute all
necessary documents for the rejection of said proposals. The City Manager, or their designee, ishereby authorized, in their discretion, to re-advertise to receive competitive bids, or proceed
otherwise, to procure goods and services described in CSP 8264.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under the CSP 8264 to reject said proposals to the City Manager, or their designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
