AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND TEJAS STORYTELLING ASSOCIATION FOR
THE 2024 TEXAS STORYTELLING FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton finds the agreement between the City
and Tejas Storytelling Association, for in kind services for the 2024 Texas Storytelling Festival
sponsorship, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference (the “Agreement”),
serves a municipal public purpose and is in the public interest;
NOW THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS :
SECTION 1. The findings set forth in the preamble of this Ordinance are incorporated by
reference into the body of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute I
Agreement and to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the City, including the expenditure
of funds as provided in the Agreement.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval
