ORDINANCE NO. 23-2275
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON DISSOLVING THE TRAFFIC AND SAFETY
COMMISSION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2010, the Denton City Council approved an ordinance
establishing the Traffic and Safety Commission; and
WHEREAS, at the November 7, 2023 Council work session, City Council directed staff
to dissolve the Traffic and Safety Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is in the public best interest to dissolve the Traffic
and Safety Commission; NOW THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The recitals which are set forth in the preamble of this ordinance are
incorporated herein and are made part of this ordinance for all purposes.
SECTION 2. Ordinance 2010-3 17, and other ordinances and resolutions establishing or
relating to the Traffic and Safety Commission are repealed.
