ORDINANCE NO. 2009
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 2003-268 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, RELATING TO CITY OF DENTON
FEES TO BE CHARGED AT I.O.O.F AND OAKWOOD CEMETERIES BY ADOPTING THE
SCHEDULE OF FEES; REPEALING ALL FEES IN CONFLICT WITH SUCH SCHEDULE;
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2003-268 AND ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH
THE SCHEDULE OF FEES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Article III of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton
authorizes the City Council to establish certain fees charged at City of Denton cemeteries; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees established by this Ordinance are
reasonable and in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby establishes the following fees to be charged at
City of Denton I.O.O.F. and Oakwood cemeteries:
Sale of Adult Lot, IOOF New Section, Section Z .............................................$600
Sale of Existing Lots at IOOF & Oakwood .......................................................$350
Sale of Infant Lot, 2'X 2', IOOF New Section, Section Z ................................$250
Sale of Existing Infant lots at IOOF & Oakwood ......................................$75
Sale of Ashes Lot at IOOF, New Section, Section Z .........................................$100
Interment Permit $50
Concrete Work Permit .........................................................................................$50
Late Fee for Concrete Work Permit ...................................................................$500
Late Fee for Interment Permit ............................................................................$500
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
