2008-121' s lour documcnts\ordinances\08\sale-2535 charlotte.doe ORDINANCE NO. 2WS-1z1 AN ORDNANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2535 CHARLOTTE STREET AND THE USE OF SALES PROCEEDS FOR SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Denton owns the property at 2535 Charlotte Street more particularly described as Lot 1R, Block 9, of the Owsley Park Addition in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, the Property was previously used to provide services to Denton residents in the immediate area by the Denton Police Department, City of Denton Code Enforcement, Denton Parks and Recreation and the Owsley Community School; and WHEREAS, the facility is no longer used for the provision of services by the Owsley Community School or the City of Denton; and WHEREAS, the proceeds from the sale of the Property will be used to reimburse the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for funds expended on the Owsley Community School improvement project and to support other Community Development programs; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to convey the Property to a qualified buyer, without further City Council action. SECTION 3.
