1960-010 ~N ORDINANCE RENAMING AND DESIGNATING AS "UNIVERSITY
RIVE" STATE HIGHWAY NO 24 FROM ITS Ilfl'ERSECTION
WITH THE EAST CITY LIMITS LIllE 07 l~ CITY 0F DENTON,
TEXAS, WEST TO IT8 INTEREECTION WITH THE WEST CITY
LIMITE LINE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the petition of John A Guinn and others to rename
State Highway No 24 "University Drive" was presented to the
City Council at its regular meeting on ~ebruary 9, 1960, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was then and there ordored
on the said proposal for February 23, 1960, and
WHEREAS, at the said public hearing the City Council duly
considered the said petition and found the same to be in proper
form and that the proposal to rename State Highway No 24
"University Drive" should be adopted, now therefore
THE COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
'~dECT.!~ON ! That all of that portion of State Highway No
24 in the City of Denton, Texas, from its intersection with
the East City Limits line West to its zntersection with the
West City Limits line be and the same is hereby renamed and
designated "University Drive"
SECTION 2 That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon its passage and approval
PASSED AND APPROVED this ~h day of March, A D 1960
