TO CERTAIN PROPERLY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE 0F
STATE HIGHWAY 24 BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY 250 ~T
WEST PROM MALONE STREET AND EXTENDING WEST 970
FEET MORE OR LESS TO ~E EAST LINE OF THE ROBERTS
A~DITION AND EXTENDING SOUTH 182 FE~T MOP~q OR LESS,
SO AS TO REMOVE THE ~AID PROPERTY FROM ~E DWELLING
DISTRICT, PLACING THE SAME IN THE BUSINESS DISTRICT,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
T~E COUNCIL OF ~E CITY 0F DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
,~_CTI~.i That the Zoning and Use District Map of the
City of Denton, Texas, be amended as follows
All of the hereinafter described property is aereby
removed from the Dwelling District as shown on said
map, and all provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Denton and the Zoning Map shall hereafter
apply to said property as Business District property
and as other property located in a Businoss District,
Being certain property located on the South szde of
State Highway 24 beginning approximately 250 feet
west from Malone Street and extondlng west 970 feet
more or less to the east line of the Roborts Addition
and extending South 182 feet more or less, more
particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of above 24 87923
acre tract in the South line of State Highway ~o 24,
THENCE South 89 degrees 38 minutes East along the
South line of State Highway No 24 a distance of
970 41 minutes to corner,
THENCE South 36 degrees 28 minutes East a distance
of 219 05 minutes to corner,
THENCE West a distance of ll00 25 feet to corner in
the West Line of above 24 87923 acre tract a distance
of 182 59 minutes to~ the place of beginning, containing
4 26 acres
8ECTION~_2_ The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a compre-
hensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare
of the City of Denton, and with reasonable consideration, among
other things, for the character of the district and for its
peculiar suitability fo~ ~a~ticular uses, and with a view to
conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most
appropriate ~use of such 1And for the maximum benefit to the
City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens

and effect immediately after its passage and approval, the

Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council
