A~STRACT NO. 186, AND THE T. TOBY SURVEY, ABSTRACT
HO. 1288; CLASSI~'fING THE SAME AS DW~J,?.ING DISTRICT
P~O~ENTY; AND DECLAIMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
W~EREA~, this ordinance was initially introduced at a regu-
lar meeting of the City COuncil of the City of Denton, Texas, on
June 28, 1960, on the petition of George C. Deutsch of Denton,
Texas; and
W~EREAS, this ordinance has been published in full one time
in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, at least
30 days prior to effective date; and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing
held f~r that purpose on ..~oGoST q , 1960, for all
interested persons to state their views and present evidence
bearin~ upon the annexation provided by this ordinance;
N~W, THEltEFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HE~Y
ORDAINS:
That the hereinafter described tract of land be and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same is
made hereby a part of said City and the land and any present and
future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights
and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which
may hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall
be subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes levied
by the City. The tract of land hereby annexed is described as
follows, to-witt
All that certain lot, tract, or parcel of land, lying
and being situated in the County of Denton, State of
Texas, and being a part of the B.B.B. & C.R.R. Survey,
Abstract No. 186, and the T. Toby Survey, Abstract No.
1288, Denton County, Texas, and being more particu-
larly described as followsz
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of the S. McCracken
Survey, Abstract No. 817. Same being the Northwest
corner of Holiday Park Addition to the City of
Denton, Denton County, Texas~
THENCE Northerly wi~h the West line of the S. McCracken
Survey and passing at 1727.4 feet the Northeast corner
of the B.B.B. & C.R.R. Co. Survey, Abstract No. 186
and the Southeast corner of the T Toby Survey,
Abstract No. 1288 and continuing a total distance
of 4119.2 feet to a point for a corner~
THENCE S 89°25'W a distance of 1491.2 feet more
or less, to a point for a corner!
THENCE South 0°06'E a distan-ce of 2391.7 feet to
a point for a corner in the center line of a gravel
road known as Dead Horse Lane;
THENCE N 89°14'W along the center of said road and
the North line of the B.B.B. & C.R.R. Co. Survey,
Abstract No. 186 a distance of 10.4 feet to a point
for a corner;
T~ENCE S l°00'W at 24 feet passing the South line of
Dead Horse Lane and continuing a total distance of
1642.0 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE S 85°54'E at 1447.6 feet crossing the West
line of Stuart Lane and continuing a total distance
of 1506.6 feet to the place of beginning, and
containing in all 138.198 acres of land, more or less.
The above described property is hereby classified as Dwelling
District property.
3.
This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
final passage.
