THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.. That the Zoning and Use District Map of the
City of Denton, Texas, be amended as follows:
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land
situated in the City of Denton, State of Texas,
out of the Robert Beaumont Survey, Abstract No.
31, and being all of the North 460 feet out of a
tractlof 51.59 acres described in deed to Harry
M. McClendon and Gilbert E. Adami and being all
of the residue of said tract not conveyed to
Charl&s E. Ewing et~ux and Olive M. Johnson, said
tract lying t~,=aediately South of State Highway
No. 2~, beginning at the Northwest corner of the
Roberts Addition, and extending West to Avenue I
and extending South, 460 feet.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby fln~s that such change is in accordance with a comprehen-
sive, plan for the purioose of promoting the general welfare of
the City of Denton, and with reasonable consideration, among
othe~r things, for the character of the district and for its
pecu~liar suitability for particular uses, and with a view to
conelerving the value of buildings and encouraging the most
appropriate use of such land for the maximum benefit to the
Cttyl of Denton, Texas, and its citizens.
I SECT~0N ~.. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage and approval, the re-
qui~ed public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning
and Zoning Co~ission and the City Council.
