lAN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING AND U~E DISTRICT MAP
OF THE CITY 0F DENTON, TEXAS, AS IT APPLIES TO CI~
LOTS I AND 4, BLOCK 6, OF THE FRY ADDITION, CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF UNIVERSITY
DRIVE WEST AND EXTENDING WEST FROM DENISON STREET, SO
AS TO REMOVE THE ~AID PROPERTY FROM THE DWELLING DIS-
,TRICT; PLACING TW~. SAME IN THE BUSINESS DISTRICT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTIQN 1. That the Zoning and Use District Map of the
City of Denton, Texas, be amended as follows:
Lots i and 4, Block 6, of the Fry Addition, City
of Denton, Texas, located on the north side of
University Drive West and extending west from
Denison Street.
SEC~T~ON 2. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehen-
sive plan for the put, pose of promoting the general welfare of
the City of Denton, and with ~easonable consideration, ~ong
other thiags, fo~ the character of the district and for its
peculiar smttabiltty for particular uses, and with a view to
conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most
app~op~iate use of such land for the m~i~m benefit to the
City ef Denton, Texas, and its citizens.
~C.TION 3. That this o~dinance shall be in full force
and effect i~ediately after its passage ~d approval, the
required public hearings having heretofore been held by the
Planning and Zoning Co~ission and the City Council.
