THE ADDITION OF A PROVIEION EXCLUDING EARNINGS OF
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF DENTON IN EXCES~ OF SEVEN
THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,200.00) PER YEAR
.IN CALCULATING THE DEP0~ITE AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO
THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM BY REASON OF
ICURRENT 8w. RVICE OF EMPL0~-MEMBERS; AND DECLARING
lAN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE 00UNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
~ECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 52-31, passed and approved on the 5th
day ef ~eptember, 1952, be and the same is hereby amended by
the addition of an additional Section 3A, which shall hereafter
read as follows, to wit:
"_SECT~I0N 3A
Earnings of employees of the City of Denton,
Texas, now or hereafter becoming members of and
subject to the provisions of the Texas Municipal
Retirement Eystem, in excess of Eeven Thousand,
Two Hundred Dollars ($7,200.00) per year, shall
be excluded in calculating the deposits and con-
tributions to be made by reason of current service
of the employee-members; and the amounts required
to be paid in each month by the members as deposits
shall exclude payments in excess of one-twelfth
(1/12th) of the maximum annual earning of Seven
Thousand, Two,Hundred Dollars ($7,200.00) specified
above."
That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its ~passage; provided, however, that deductions under the terms of
this ordinance shall not commence before January 1, 1961.
