SL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PAROEL OF LAND CONSISTING
9.222 ACRES OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS, AND BErNG
SITUATED IN THE J. C&RTER SURVE~£, ABSTRACT NO. 26~;

AND DECLARING AN EF~CTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, this ordinance was initially introduced at a regu-
lar meeting of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, on
September 13, 1960, on the petition of Grover C. Stuart of Denton,
Texas; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full one time
in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, at least
30 days prior to effective date; and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing

interested persons to state their views and present evidence
bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance;
iNOW, THEREFOBW~, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY
ORDAINS:
IThat the hereinafter described tract of land be and the same
is hereby annexed to the ~City of Denton, Texas, and the same is
made,hereby a part of said City and the land and any present and
future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights
and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which
may hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall
be s~bJect'to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes levied by
the City. The tract of land hereby annexed is described as follows,
to wilt:
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land, lying
and being situated in the County of Denton, State of
Texas, and being a part of a certain ~3 acre tract of
land which was conveyed by Warranty Deed, dated
F~b~uary 9, 1945, from Jessie M. Wilson, a feme sole,
et al, to Grover C. Stuart, as shown of record in
Volume 316, Page 62, of the Deed Records of Denton
County, Texas; being out of the J. Carter Survey,
Abstract No. 268, Denton County, Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of the above men-
tioned 43 acre tract, s~me being the northwest corner
o~ the J. Carter Survey, Abstract No. 268;
THENCE east, along t~e north boundary lige of said .
43 acre tract, 1403.8 feet (call being 1405.55 feet),
to a point in a north and south public road, for the
northeast corner of the past mentioned 43 acre tract;
THENCE south O1 degree, 14 minutes west, along the
east boundary line of said 43 acre tract, 290.07 feet,
to a point for corner;.
THENCE west 1215.28 feet, to a point for corner;
TEENOE north 00 degrees, 27 minutes west, 23.8 feet,
tea point for corner;
THENOE south, 89 degrees, 33 minutes west, 180 feet,
tea point for corner in the west boundary line of
the past mentioned 43 acre tract, and being in the
west boundary line of the J. Carter Survey, Abstract
Ne. 268;
THENCE north 00 degrees, 27 minutes west, along the
west boundary line of the 43 acre tract, 267.62 feet,
to point of beginning, and containing in all, 9.222
acres of land.
SECTION 2.
The above described property is hereby classified as Dwelling
District property.
This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
final passage.
