WHEREAS, this ordinance was initially introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, on September 27, 1960; and WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full one time in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, at least thirty days prior to effective date; and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held ~or that purpose on ~_Oc~~-- ~ ~ , 1960, for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance; and WHEREAS, engineering studies heretofore ordered by the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, have indicated that the City of Denton will be able to provide utility, fire and polic~ service to the area annexed by this ordinance within a reasonable time; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY 0 RDAIN~ ~ SECTION,,1,.. That the hereinafter described tract of land be amd the same is hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same ils made hereby a part of said City and the land and any present and future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which may hereafter be enacted and the pro- perty situated therein shall be subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes levied by the City.
