AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ART ICLE 10.10 (t) OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE .CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, S0 AS TO
iNCREASE THE MAXIMUM FARE TO BE CHARGED FOR TRANS-
PORTING PASSENGER~ FOR HIRE WITHIN THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SEOTIONi~ That Article lC.10 (t) of the Code of Ordinances
of th~ Oity of Denton, Texas, be and the same is hereby amended
so as to hereafter read as follows:
"(t) Rates
(1) It shall be unlawful for any person, association
of persons, firm or corporation to charge more
for transporting passengers for hire within the
City of Denton, Texas, than provided in the fol-
lowing schedule:
From Zone 1 to another point in Zone 1-- $0.40
From Zone 1 to Zone 2 .................. 0.50
From Zone 1 to Zone 3 .................. 0.60
PromZone 1 to Zone ~ .................. 0.~
From Zone i to Zone .................. O.
From Zone 2 to Zone i .................. 0.50
From'Zone 2 to Zone 2 crossing Zone i -- 0.60
Prom Zone 2 to Zone 3 crossing

From Zone 2 to Zone 4 .................. 0.80
Prom Zone 2 to Zone5 .................. 0.80

(2) The above schedule of rates shall apply to the
first passenger, and a fee of thirty cents
(30~) for each additional passenger shall be
the maximum charge where the additional passen-
ger or passengers are picked up at the same
point.and are transported to the same point as
the first passenger."
8E~ION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon ,its passage.
